Emily Blunt, whose full name is Emily Olivia Leah Blunt, is a British actress born on 23 February 1983 in London. When she was seven, she faced stuttering problems and went on until 14, but she never left acting.

Blunt started her professional acting career in November 2001 with the film “The Royal Family”, for which she was named as “Best Newcomer” by Evening Standard.

In 2002, she performed as Juliet in Indhu Rubasingham’s Romeo and Juliet production. Blunt made her screen debut in the British television drama Boudica in 2003. Blunt made her feature film debut in the drama “My Summer of Love” in 2004.

However, 2006 was the real life-changing year for Blunt, where she won her first Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for a television film, “Gideon’s Daughter” and a nomination for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role for comedy-drama film “The Devil Wears Prada.”

Blunt keeps on proving her acting skills time and time again with leading roles in the film like “The Young Victoria” in 2009, then a romantic comedy “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen” in 2011, then some science fiction films like “The Adjustment Bureau” in 2011, “Looper” in 2012, and “Edge of Tomorrow” in 2014, and the musical films “Into the Woods in 2014 and “Mary Poppins Returns” in 2018.

However, a year prior to Blunt’s life-changing year, she met with Canadian singer Michael Buble during Logie Awards in Melbourne, Australia. Then they stayed in a live-in relationship for three years before breaking up in 2008.

Just after Blunt’s breakup with Michael Buble, she started dating American actor John Krasinski. They got engaged in August 2009 and later married in July 2010. They were blessed with two daughters, one born in 2014 and the other in 2016.

She received critical acclaim for playing an FBI agent in the crime film “Sicario” in 2015, an alcoholic in the thriller movie “The Girl on the Train” in 2016, for which she also got nominated for the Best Actress in a Leading Role. Blunt won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress for the horror film “A Quiet place,” which was directed by her husband, John Krasinski.

In 2015, Blunt became a naturalized citizen of the United States and was listed 98th in FHM‘s Sexiest Women.

It’s Blunt’s birthday today, and we just wish her a very happy birthday with lots of success ahead.
